2014 Acura MDX Unveil

2013 New York international auto show (NYIAS). Acura unveiled all-new 2014 Acura MDX which is third generation. This is seven-passenger SUV like its predecessor. The 2014 MDX designed and developed in the U.S. It will be built at Alabama plant. 2014 MDX will use domestic and globally sourced parts. This MDX offered two-wheel-drive and  SH-AWD (Super Handling-All Wheel Drive) systems. The 2014 MDX is build on a completely new platform. It offers improved technologies, ride comfort, high quality materials and cabin is more comfortable. Interior become more luxury and versatile. New MDX also offers improved fuel economy and huge safety guaranties. Thanks to Acura's Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ II (ACE™ II) body structure.

Powertrain

The 2014 Acura MDX is powered by a newly developed (Honda Earth Dreams Technology) 3.5 Liter direct-injercted i-VTEC 24-valve V6 engine, with Variable Cylinder Management™ (VCM™), which produces 290 horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to 6-speed automatic transmission with Sport Mode and Sequential SportShift Paddle Shifters.

The 2014 MDX has an EPA fuel economy rating of 18/27/21 mpg (city/highway/combined), With SH-AWD (Super Handling-All Wheel Drive) systems, while the new front-wheel-drive model is EPA rated at 20/28/23 mpg (city/highway/combined). The MDX is more than just simply SUV. It's engine is powerful and has higher fuel economy ratings to it's class. The MDX achieve better and better results. The MDX tested in Germany on the Nürburgring racing circuit, result is fantastic - 8 second improved compared to second generation MDX. This is quite enough to prove MDX is best in it's class (in it's price tag range). New functions like Integrated Dynamic System (IDS) has 3 modes: Comfort, Sport and normal, this helps driver to ride car and take a joy from comfort riding. In addition only Technology and Advance grades MDX carry 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels and 255/55-19 tires.

Body and Styling

Like all-new 2014 Cadillac CTS made by hight strenght metal, also 2014 MDX is made by high strenght steel, aluminum and magnesium - this makes SUV to keep low weight and be more rigid. Using these materials, 2014 MDX is 275 punds lighter it's than previous model. The aerodinamic body design is refined and resulting 17% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency. This helps SUV to reduce fuel consumption. The 2014 MDX also offers very silent cabin, by using high quality materials like acoustic glass and expanding body sealers, active noise control technology and more. this makes new MDX be most quietest and most composed SUV.

Interior

The new MDX is become more bigger inside. Second-row seats is improved also third-row seats too. Also available upgrade interior,such as premium leather-trimmed interior, LED lights, Smart engry, Second-row sunshades, remote engine start and etc. Acura/ELS premium audio system  that we know this is very good audio system among of other luxury brands. There is DVD and more entertaiment functions also available as optional.

Safety

Third generation MDX has advanced safety technologies, such as Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ II (ACE™ II) body structure, ABS, EBD - Electronic Brake Distribution, Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®), Traction Control, Airbags and FCW which means Forward Collision Warning.
