Mitsubishi is well known Japanese automaker in the world. As we know the last generation EVOLUTION (a.k.a. EVO) is X (tenth) generation. We also know that the Evolution models are made for numerous countries and each other is slightly different. That one is made for North American market and rest of it made for European countries, United kingdom, Japan (JDM - Japanese Domestic Market), Southeast Asian models - Philippine and Malaysian models.


Lets talk about North American models. Mitsubishi offers two high-performance 4-door sedan GSR and MR (available MR Premium and MR Touring package) models. Both of them have newly designed all-aluminum 2.0-liter inline-four-cylinder turbocharged engine (4B11T), which produces 291 hp (217 kW) at 6500 rpm and 407 N.m (300 lb.ft) of torque at 4400 rpm.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR

The EVO GSR is same model as Japanese GSR model but with small spoiler, It comes with only with 5-speed manual transmission, also include 18-inch ENKEI alloy wheels.  For the EVO GSR models available but not standard option: Xenon HID headlamps, 40GB HDD Navigation with Music server, 710-watt Rockford Fosgate^® audio system. The EVO MR comes with 6-speed TC-SST transmission, also Eibach springs and Blistein struts, 18-inch BBS forged alloy wheels, Xenon HID headlamps, Magnesium paddle shifters, 2-piece front rotors. Also available 710-watt Rockford Fosgate^® audio system, 40GB HDD Navigation with Music server, Power glass sunroof with sunshade, Sound dampening enhancement.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR

The Lancer Evolution GSR and MR models, both of them have: 291-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter DOHC MIVEC engine, Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC), Brembo braking system, RECARO^® semi-bucket racing seats with fixed head rests, Aluminum roof, hood and front fenders, Rear diffuser with dual exhaust outlet, Leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, 7 airbags include driver's knee airbag, FUSE Hands-free Link System with USB port as standard options.
